Comodo became Sectigo in 2018
This is the one thing worth reading before you order. The Comodo Group sold its certificate authority in 2017, and the business was renamed Sectigo in 2018. Nothing about the certificate changed: the same roots, already trusted everywhere, and the same validation systems. Your certificate may be branded Sectigo when it arrives. That is expected and it is not a substitution.

Questions we get asked about Comodo
Is Comodo still a certificate authority?
The authority still exists but trades as Sectigo. It was sold by the Comodo Group in 2017 and renamed in 2018. The roots were not replaced, so certificates issued under either name behave identically.
My certificate arrived branded Sectigo. Is that right?
Yes. That is the same authority under its current name and it is what you ordered. It chains to the same roots and installs exactly as a Comodo-branded one did.
Will an old Comodo certificate still work?
Until it expires, yes. The rename did not affect certificates already issued. When it does expire you renew here and get the same thing under the Sectigo name.
Is the cheap one weaker than the expensive one?
No. Every certificate here uses the same encryption; the strength of the connection is decided by your server configuration. Price buys a deeper identity check and a larger warranty, not better security.
Can I use one certificate on several servers?
Yes. There is no per-server licence on anything in this list, so one file covers your load balancer, your application servers and staging.
