  Okay overall

  We sign every release build with this now. The setup was a one-off effort. The certificate works with signtool without any extra configuration. Took longer than the estimate on the product page, though.

  Does the job, slowly

  Our users stopped emailing about the unknown-publisher dialogue within a day of switching. Support explained the hardware token requirement before we ordered, so nothing surprised us. Would have been five stars if the validation step had been explained upfront.

  Identity verification was thorough but the instructions told me exactly what to send. The publisher name shows correctly on the installer. The checkout flow confused me at the add-ons step.

  Signed our Windows installer with this and the SmartScreen warnings stopped appearing. Signed binaries pass our customers own security checks now. Already ordered a second one for another project.

  We sign every release build with this now. The setup was a one-off effort. Timestamping works, so signatures stay valid after the certificate expires. Had to email twice before I got an answer, but it was sorted after that.

  Our download numbers improved once the unsigned-publisher warning went away. Support explained the hardware token requirement before we ordered, so nothing surprised us. Support answered on the first try, at an hour I did not expect anyone to be awake.

  Cloud signing is better

  cloud code signing certificate is better than other signing certs, I find it very handy and easy to use, Its good for a small business like mine.
