Implementation of SSL certificate need a strong reliable hashing algorithm, why not we use faster, lightweight and more strong encryption algorithm than a conventional RSA system?

SSL public-key is encrypted by secure hashing algorithm (SHA) which also encrypt the certificate signing request (CSR). An encrypted CSR is signed by certificate signing authority like Sectigo, GeoTrust and Symantec etc.

Yesterday my friend Michelle was browsing her website to make sure that everything is working fine as it was earlier. But suddenly she noted the message in address bar of chrome which read as "Not Secure" she shocked because earlier there was no such message and her site was working fine. You may also come through such message on chrome that your website is not secure. This message is the part of recent update or upgrade of chrome browser. The Google Chrome browser, version 68 or higher, display a new “Not Secure” warning that appears anytime you or your customers are visiting an insecure web page.

SSL renewal is same as ssl installation at first time except that in some servers we need not to generate a fresh CSR but in case we want to change business details or hosting server then new CSR generation is mandatory. SSL certificate can not renew just buy paying term rental as we do for hosting and domain renewal services. Once the SSL Certificate expire, it is not possible to extend its expiry date as it is hardcoded and encrypted in the certificate itself. So to extend the date we need to sign a new CSR with new or existing business details and install that fresh certificate on the server.
