Signature Validation in PDF

I purchased the Certum Email ID - Individual with the understanding that I could sign a PDF and have it validated by someone I email it to. But that couldn't be done.
I'm now considering the Certum Business ID which promises "full authentication of its holder's identity, e-mail address and company
details. Thanks to the procedure, the certificate may be used for the
electronic signing of trade and business documents"
Will that actually be validated on someone else's computer? I read somewhere that the Certificate Authority has to be part of Adobe's partnership. Is this true? If so, how can the description promise validation?
